I bought one of these traps and still have it in my arsenal. It is a HavAHart trap with a nice, comfy, handle on the top.
THE PROS: It is very easy to carry because the handle is sturdy. Also, it is very easy to open because there is an additional handle that opens ‘the gate’ quite easily. That makes releasing the animal quick. It is larger in size, so it can handle heavier cats. Also, the balance is good and structure is sturdy, so when the cat gets feisty, it does not cause a problem.
THE CONS: It is not unusual to have the cat in the trap for longer than the necessary fasting time. That means you have to feed and water the cat, in the trap. AND.. when you do, they will poop and pee in that trap, most likely. So, you have to look at the ability to get a pee pad inside the trap, under the cat and to put some small dishes inside with food and water. This trap is a little easier than the standard havahart trap, to do these things, but you need to be really good at doing it without having the cat scurry out of the trap while doing it. The other I found is that it is sometimes easy for a large cat to push that trap gate open. I have learned to use some gate pins to avoid that.
